F-0303 Deformation and Failure of Synchronous Belts for Automobile
Details
Synchronous belts for automobile is used under fluctuating torque conditions. In such conditions, fatigue cracks are usually initiated at tooth root in the driving direction side of the belt. At first, the shearing strain oat the tooth root was measured. Then, the shearing stress at the tooth root was analysed by using the FEM analysis in order to discuss this failure mechanism.
