This paper proposes studies on a tribo-sheet that reduces the friction in short-stroke oscillating motions. The tribe-sheet has small embossed processes on the surface, and elastic deformation of the embossed processes generates a fluid flow wedge that can reduce friction loss. The experimental results on the lubrication properties show that low values of coefficient of friction are obtained for a sliding velocity range. Also, calculated results from a soft-EHL analysis show that the resulting pressure due to the shape modification of the sheet enables the system to support the applied load.
