Abstract

The characteristics of the motion of slipper bearing in swash plate type piston pump and motor effect greatly the performance, the reliability and etc. To estimate the fundamental motion of the slipper bearing, the measurement method of the rotational speed of the slipper bearing by means of an eddy current displacement sensor was presented. The method was proposed by paying attention to operating principle of the equipment. The rotational speed of the slipper bearing equaled approximately that of the swash plate. It was found that the rotational motions of the slipper bearing and of the piston synchronized.
