F-0402 Analysis of Threaded Connection in Eccentric Tightening

Abstract

The strength of a threaded connection depends upon the type of the load applied to the connection. There must be some cases when the threaded connections are loaded eccentrically in tightening. For the case with the threaded connection in eccentric tightening, if the geometry of the connection can be regarded as axisymmetric, but the loading components are not. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the technical application for performing the boundary elements analyses of axi-symmetric bodies with non symmetrical loading.
