Recently CFRP laminated structures have been applied to many structures of vehicles. Interlaminar strength of laminated structures is relatively low, delamination can be induced easily by impact loads. Since delamination degrades stiffness of the structures, it is important to identify delamination nondestructively. Resonance frequency change method has been adopted to identify delamination of CFRP laminated beams. However, identification of delamination location is difficult because of symmetric property of the resonance frequency changes. In order to improve identification performance of delamination location, delaminated domain location using anti-resonance frequency changes is effective. In the present study, delamination identification method for CFRP laminated beams using resonance and anti-resonance frequency changes is proposed. Effectiveness of the present method is evaluated both in analysis and experiment.
