Abstract
Conventional magnetic bearings (MBs) require many sensors and electromagnets, and as such have complex structures and systems. Therefore miniaturization of MBs has not yet been realized. In this paper we proposed a simple structure for a MB that can be stabilized by controlling only one-degree-of-freedom [1]. We realized a small MB with a rotor diameter of 6 mm with which stable levitation and rotation was obtained.
