FM-05 LTO CARTRIDGE REEL DEFLECTION UNDER TAPE PACKING STRESSES

Abstract

Deflection of LTO cartridge reel flanges is studied as a function of tape tension, number of wraps, and packing propensity across three cartridge types. An axisymmetric finite element model is developed to explain the observed deflections.
