Abstract
Some hard disk drives (HDDs) have fewer magnetic heads than the maximum number of mountable magnetic heads. Such HDDs need to be re-designed. We created a dummy head that is installed in these HDDs, enabling them to keep the gain of their vibration feature around the sampling frequency as low as an HDD having the maximum number of mountable magnetic heads.
