Contactless manipulation technique that is capable of transporting and manipulating of small particles is highly attractive in studying of many physical phenomena and biochemical processes. We present an acoustic levitator model used to levitate and transport samples. The finite element analysis and the parametric optimization of the levitator model are made with the software ANSYS. The effect of the distance H between the radiating plate and reflector and the vibration velocity v of the two LPTs on levitating and transporting samples is systematically investigated. The numerical results show that the transmission direction of the sample was determined by H and the vibration velocity of the LPTs. The optimal distance H for transporting sample is 9mm, and the sample can be transported from one LPT to another by changing the vibration velocity of the LPTs. As a result, a new LPT exciting approach is developed to realize the levitation and horizontal transportation of the sample.
