The following conclusions were obtained experimentally in the present study. (1)S-N diagram of the elastic bonding butt joint was approximated to exponential, and the fatigue limit was not observed. (2)Adhesive strength decreases with increasing thickness of adhesive layer.(3)The influence of adhesive layer thickness on fatigue strength becomes small in the case of lower stress.(4)In the nondimensinal stress-cyclic number curves diagram, the stress decreasing rate for the elastic bonding butt joint is smaller than that for the epoxy resin joint.
