In the present study, fretting fatigue behavior of silica particulate reinforced epoxy resin composite has been investigated by carrying out fretting fatigue test using silica particulate reinforced epoxy resin composite specimen with stainless steel contact pads, under different stress ratios. For comparison plain fatigue test of silica particulate reinforced epoxy resin composite specimen were also been carried out. The result showed that, fretting had a significant effect cn fatigue behavior of silica particulate reinforced epoxy resin composite. Also in the present study, to understand the effect of fretting on fatigue behavior two stage fretting fatigue-fatigue test were carried out.
