Abstract
Recently, acrylic resin plate is expected to be used as a replacement for glass windows of automobile and so on. In such a use, a small particle collides repeatedly to the plate. However, impact fatigue strength of acrylic resin plate isn't evaluating yet. In this paper, evaluation method of impact fatigue strength of acrylic resin plate was suggested. The resin plate thickness of 2mm, 3mm and 5mm were used in this study. Rectangular specimens were made from the resin plate. Test equipment is based on the principle of free fall. A weight repeatedly collides to the specimen that is supporting simply both ends. A kinematic energy of the weight and the collision number of until the fracture of specimen were recorded. The relations of both resembled the S-N curve of the fatigue test. For the evaluation of the impact fatigue strength of acrylic resin plate, the kinematic energy of the collision weight is effective.
