This study has investigated variations of domain structures and microstructures in non-oriented electromagnetic sheets subjected to tensile stress. Macroscopic electromagnetic measurements using a B-H analyzer revealed magnetic properties were remarkably deteriorated even for small plastic strain. Observation of magnetic domain structures in the deformed specimens using a magneto-optical Kerr microscope revealed crystal orientation varied and magnetic domain width decreased as plastic strain increased. Observation of microstructures using EBSD (Electron Backscatter Diffraction Patterns) clarified the relationship between the magnetic domain structure and the crystal orientation. The results implied that the microstructural variation can be one of the causes for deterioration of the magnetic properties.
