Abstract

Background/Purpose;There are test machines that apply mechanical stimuli to explore the rheology of materials. Its uses are wide-ranging and contribute. Among them, there is a demand for non-contact rheology measurement. The purpose of this research is to develop a non-contact air jet geometry to replace the rheometer, and to standardize its viscoelasticity test. Theory/Calculation;The dynamic complex elastic modulus E* is obtained under frequency load, and items such as storage elastic modulus E′, loss elastic modulus E″, and loss tangent tanδ are measured. Extract an ellipse from the hysteresis loop. Test/experiment method; The frequency is measured at 0.1Hz and 0.2Hz for 100s. The specimens are Slime, Devcon, and Hand cream. The input is the air injection pressure amplitude P of 0 to 15 kPa, and the output is the amplitude of the dent depth h on the surface. This gives the P-h diagram. Results/Conclusion;The viscoelasticity of E* was obtained from the P-h hysteresis loop. The viscoelasticity specific to the specimen was obtained. A test equivalent to that of a contact rheometer could be performed. In addition, the non-contact type tester can perform, (1) creep and creep recovery tests, and (2) instant observation of loading and unloading.
