Abstract
In this study, the new mirror finishing method using nylon brush is developed as one of the new finishing method by using abrasive grains. This finishing method carries out mirror surface with the rotated nylon brush of high speed, and slurry (water+WA grains). Therefore, the finishing characteristics is influenced by the relative motion between the brush filaments and a workpiece, the enter conditions of applied abrasive grains, and the actions of filaments. This paper treats about the machining characteristics obtained from experimental results under a series of conditions. As a result, the finishing mechanism and advantage etc. of this finishing method are evaluated.
