Abstract
Functional parts are increasingly required for the various communication and optical equipment supporting our information society today with the advance of high functional and mobile features of these equipments, and importance is focused on machining technologies to manufacture such parts efficiently and at high quality. In addition, environment-conscious machining is also required. To answer to such needs, we have proposed ELID-lap grinding and developed a metal-free electro-conductive resin bonded wheel and are carrying out studies to realize the grinding system with the latest wheel. This paper describes the results of investigations on the basic features of this wheel on ELID-lap grinding.
