Cutting tool of binderless cBN shows good wear resistance in the high speed milling of quenched die steel. However the tool wear originates mainly chipping of cutting edge which appears irregularly, therefore the tool life becomes unstable. This paper describes experimental result at cutting speed of 2500m/min using the bindless cBN ball end mill. As the result, bindress cBN tool shows long tool life and good surface roughness. And the chipping on face wear increased earlier than flank wear.
