Abstract
In this report, a portable micro injection molding machine is described, which is designed and made for trial as a first step of the development. In a conventional injection molding system, the mold only plays the role of making a cavity, and the injection molding machine works for keeping the condition of melt material and controlling the injection speed and pressure. In this rule, the injection mechanism cannot be replaced easily, so it is difficult to miniaturize the mechanism as the cavity size is getting smaller. Then, we have proposed the new design concept that the role of injection is placed in the mold side. applying this concept, the novel portable micro injection molding machine, which is combined the new miniaturized mold with injection mechanism and micro servo press machine, has been designed.
