Abstract
Recent innovation of the manufacturing technology of linear encoder enabled the realization of long absolute linear encoder longer than 4m. New developed 2 track absolute detection method is based on tip on board technology with image sensor. The image sensors are used to detect 18hit absolute code track and incremental track signal by new single field method. Thanks of this generated excellent analog incremental sinusoidal signal high interpolation was allowed to gibe 10nm final resolution. This over 4 m length absolute linear encoder will be expected more application adapted in electronics market with linear motor.
