Abstract
Although the measurement of rotational accuracy for ball bearing is described in JIS B 1515, specific measuring techniques and measuring conditions are not mentioned. The authors have studied on the measuring conditions for rotational accuracy and clarified that the rotational speed had an effect on the rotational accuracy. For the users of bearings, it is very helpful to know the rotational accuracy of bearing in real operating speed. On the one hand, to quicken the rotational speed, a larger force will be required to fix the bearing. However, when the gripping force of chuck is large in the measurement, the track surface will be transformed and this has the potential to become different to the primary rotational accuracy of the bearing. Thus, in this research, the authors analyzed the deformation of track surface of inner ring in gripping the inner ring from inside by a chuck using FEM(Finite Element Method). Then, the gripping technique and the gripping force were examined not to have an influence on rotational accuracy in high-speed rotational measurement.
