We measured gap dependence of dynamic viscoelasticity of hydrated MPC polymer films. The viscoelasticity was evaluated as a damping coefficient c and a spring constant k assuming the Voigt model. As a result of measurement, we observed monotonic increase of c and k as the gap decreased. In addition, from the starting point of these increases we can estimate the hydrated film thickness to be around 3 times thicker than that in the dried condition (before hydration). We also evaluate the loss tangent from the measured c and k and revealed that the elasticity overcame the viscosity when the shearing gap widths were smaller than those equivalent to the film thickness in the dried condition.
