Honeycomb core sandwich panels (HSP) are used in many vehicle structures i.e. aircrafts, cars and trains. On the other hand, roll core sandwich panels (RSP) are expected to use in many fields, because RSP are manufactured with easier process and indicate the higher static bending strength than HSP. In this study, the drop weight impact test was carried out for HSP and RSP to compare with each other. It was clear that the relationship between the absorption energy of each panels and their cell size and core height. And the suitable sandwich panel for using in various cases was suggested.
