We investigated the difference in the anodization behavior of magnesium (AZ31B) and aluminum (A1050). Then, the time dependence curve of the re-anodization current density of an anodized plate was measured. AZ31B plate was anodized in NaOH solution, and A1050 plate was anodized in ammonium borate solution. Consequently, in the case of A1050, current density became about 0A/m^2 at the time of re-anodization. However, in AZ31B, re-anodization current density is considerably large. As this reason, it was considered that the influence of the crack of the film, the dissolution of aluminum oxide in the anodizing solution, and the change of the anodized magnesium film itself. Moreover, it was expected that the measurement of re-anodization current density is effective in corrosion-resistant evaluation of anodized magnesium.
