This paper describes a new method "melt drag process" for producing convex shape copper strip. This single roll melt drag process is continuous strip casting process, which is able to produce strips directly from molten metal. And, rapid solidification by melt drag process makes mechanical properties higher level by structural refinement. So, we research to produce convex copper strip for lead frame by melt drag process with using grooved solidification roll. And, we research the mechanical properties, microstructure and electrical conductivity of the copper strip sample made by melt drag process.
