Manufacturing industries are now facing extremely hard competitions to survive this globalization era and information society. Engineers have to design manufacturing system taking all the possibilities of the operating condition to meet the demand of market. However, the occurrence of breakdown and the change of production planning are usually unable anticipated point in the designing phase. Therefore, the engineers have to make suitable kaizen activities continuously to adjust the manufacturing system corresponding to the demand of market, i. e. cost, quality, delivery time and volume. Simulation is an effective method of assisting these activities. However, to simulate the operating manufacturing system usually takes a lot of time because the engineers have to create simulation model corresponding to the fluctuation of the operating line. In order to create the simulation model efficiently, and to assist kaizen activities, we have developed the system that is able to update the simulation model automatically using the operation data, and have implemented it on the experimental production line.
