In the production under diversified customer demand and global competition arising from complicated and unstable decision environment, it is hard to deal with the situation flexibly and extensively by the centralized scheduling system. Moreover, the scheduling itself becomes extremely difficult according to the increase in scale of the system. For resolution of these problems, this paper focuses on the decentralized scheduling system with two different protocols in information exchange. The we compared the characteristic of the system between the cases of using a synchronous protocol and an asynchronous one for adjusting the sub-schedule generated by each process individually. Numerical experiments are provided to reveal the feature of each protocol.
