Production management systems are required to adjust to each diverse operation of production management. In order to implement RFID into production management systems, it is required to make a lot of customization. In such cases, middleware system can reduce the customization processes. However, there is a few generic RFID middleware that is cost-effective for small-and-middle-sized manufactures (SMEs). Manufacturers require a practical RFID system for effective management. This paper proposes simple RFID software module and prototype system for production operations management in SMEs.
