Energy efficiency in manufacturing processes has been an important objective because environmental impacts in industries have become severe problem in world wide. As additive manufacturing technologies are adopted to commercial-scale production, energy consumption in additive manufacturing processes becomes more important to reduce environmental impacts of the products. There is a need for the basic data acquisition to estimate environmental load of additive manufacturing facilities. In this paper, we propose the concept of web-based environmental load data acquisition and analysis system in distributed additive manufacturing facilities. Then, we discuss test results of monitoring and analysis example by using FDM type additive manufacturing facility.
