Abstract
Improving the thermal efficiency of the electric generation use heavy duty gas turbine much more, materials and heat balance on the gas turbine has been calculated based on recently lined up 1500C-class steam cooling gas turbine and the 1300C-class reheat-cycle gas turbine. The effects of several high efficiency technologies such as TIT increase, inlet air cooling, compressed air inter cooling, steam injection and the methane reforming cooling that is proposed first will be made clear. And the reheat-cycle gas turbine with optimum combination of above mentioned technologies is proposed. In case of the proposed reheat-cycle gas turbine (MORIGT) with compression ratio 52,TIT 1700C, and methane reforming cooling, the thermal efficiency will be expected approximately 47% (HHV).
