Abstract
Integrated Modular Water Reactor (IMR) has being developed as one of the advanced small-scale light water reactors with the thermal output of 1000MWt. IMR has employed two-phase natural circulation and self-pressurization systems in the primary cooling system. Therefore, IMR has eliminated pressurizers, primary cooling pumps and pipes. The heat generated in core is transferred to the steam generator which are set in the reactor vessel by two phase natural circulation of primary coolant. This paper focuses two phase natural circulation tests to confirm heat transfer from core to steam generators. The air-water test was performed with 1/10 scale mockup on atmospheric condition considered similarity low and performed steam-water test in actual pressure condition.
