The authors proposed the absorption refrigeration cycle based on capillary pump. In this cycle the porous material is embedded in the generator, and the refrigerant in solvent which penetrates the porous material evaporates by heat load. So the temperature and concentration gradient yield in the porous material, which disturbs the heat and mass transfer. In this study heat and mass transfer characteristics in the porous generator was investigated. The results showed that the heat transfer coefficient was 520~650[W/m2K] and that the mass transfer coefficient was 7.4~9.0×10-5[m/s].
