In the present study, zeolite powderis employed as the adsorbent materials. The mixture consisting of the water and adsorbent is cooled slowly to about -50℃ by the liquid nitrogen, and the measurement is performed in a heating process with the adequate heating rate up to the room temperature. The latent heat of the water is estimated conveniently from the DSC curve and the mass fractions of this mixture. The relationship between the latent heat of the water and the mass fraction of the adsorbent is examined experimentally. As a result, it is found that the latent heat of water is affected by the addition of the adsorbent. In the case of that mass ratio between the water and the adsorbent is small, the latent heat is about 50% of the pure water. In the case of the large mass ratio, the latent heat also decreases about 20% of the pure water.
