Abstract
This lecture will present an attempt to teach thermodynamics by using visual tools such as simple animations. Many of the students who learned thermodynamics feel that the subject is difficult to understand. The mathematics involved in thermodynamics is very simple, but the quantities to deal with are highly abstract. The difficulties of many students stem from the gaps between the abstract quantities such as entropy and the real world. In order to bridge the gaps, the author employs simple animations as a teaching tool just the same as a chalk talk. One or two examples will be presented.
