Abstract
Subcooled flow boiling of water was performed in a horizontal circular channel of which diameter was 5,10,16 mm. Microbubble Tested liquid subcooling was 10∿40K, and liquid velocity in the channel was 0.25∿2.5m/s. Micro bubble emission boiling, MEB, was observed significantly at higher liquid subcooling in transition boiling, and the heat flux increased higher than the critical heat flux. In the pressure fluctuation in the channel, a periodic wave pattern was obtained in MEB as observed in the rectangular channel. In this type of MEB, the heat flux increased proportionally to the frequency of pressure fluctuation. The Maximum pressure including periodic MEB rose up with increasing of the heat flux in higher heat flux region.
