Abstract
An ejector can transform expansion energy of driving flow into pressure buildup energy of suction flow. Therefore, by utilizing the ejector instead of the expansion valve for the compression type refrigerator, the performance of the refrigerator can be greatly improved. In this study, performance of the compression type refrigerator with the ejectors using natural refrigerant of ammonia etc., is evaluated by means of simulation. As a result, it was shown that at the point of 90% ejector adiabatic efficiency, COP of the compression type refrigerator with the ejector using ammonia was about 6% greater than that of the conventional compression type refrigerator and in case of CO_2 refrigerant, COP was about 20% greater.
