Abstract
In order to innovate the college education by centering its target on development of engineers with creative and active ability, the five departments of Osaka Prefectural College of Technology are integrated into one department of Industrial Systems Engineering. In 2005, the experience of the course "Elementary Practice of Engineer ing "is taken over to the new course "Elementary Practice of Integrated Engineering I" for the first year students, aiming at raising interest and awareness of engineer ing and acquiring the basic techniques of engineer ing and technical presentation. We report on the result of developing the practice that puts the focus on the mechanism and the control to understand the base of mechatronics .
