Abstract
This paper presents the evaluation results of the spherical sensor node operation mechanism. This mechanism carries and releases a sensor node with double-spherical mechanism for rescue operation in disaster area. Developed mechanism is possible to set the sensor node on the ground using a device driven by solenoid actuator. The mobile robot carries proposed operation mechanism, and release control of sensor node is commanded by the robot. This paper describes performance evaluation using the prototype of proposed mechanism.
