Abstract
The aim of this study is to develop a practical standing-assistance device for a lower limb disabled to improve their mobility and health. Disorder of the lower limb body leads many collateral issues on health, for example, contractures of joints, weakening muscles and bones, and deteriorating the whole-body circulation. Additionally, they cause the most serious problem so-called the disuse syndrome. If disuse syndrome once developed, it could lead into a vicious circulation of the syndrome unless an effort for improvements was made as soon as possible. Therefore it is important to prevent disuse syndrome by rehabilitation. However, in rehabilitation, assisting and keeping the standing of disabled are hard work for caretakers. We then develop the standing-assistance device that has light weight and simple operation system.
