Abstract
In this paper, a simplified suction process for a brain surgery is virtually modeled. When a suction tool touches the surface of a virtual model, the reflection force is calculated and displayed through a haptic device, while the surface of the model is being deformed. At the same time, data corresponding to the removed tissue of the model are rearranged and displayed for realistic visualization.
