Abstract
Pulse diagnosis in Chinese traditional medicine is a method to examine the state of human health without any pain. The method has been developed for more than thousand years and the theoretical system has been constructed based on huge experimental data. The first finger, the second finger and the third finger are used as the sensors to measure pulse waves. There are so many ways to press the wrist by the three fingers that the sensors should have multi degrees of freedom. Thus the goal of this study is development of a pulse diagnosis meter with robot hand mechanism. The sensors have to catch pulse waves in several directions against the wrist and the structure of the fingertip is discussed in this study.
