Abstract
The aims of this study are to develop a teaching material by which Leonard da Vinci's lion model robot can be reproduced, and to hold a robot-making workshop and have the teaching materials evaluated. We extracted important mechanisms of the lion model robot from his Madrid manuscript, and produced a modern-version lion model robot. We also held a robot-making workshop to have this teaching material evaluated. The participants not only became interested in Leonard da Vinci's broad knowledge and skills, but they let us know some refinements I need in the teaching materials.
