Abstract
In this paper, we build a mathematical model of the somatic reflex network between cutaneous sensation and skeletal muscle activities based on the anatomical nerve structure including Dermatome. The model includes a skeleton, a musculo-tendon network, a cutaneous input layer, and a neuromuscular network. We model the relationship between the spinal nerve and muscle activity by neural network. Identifying the model's parameters by motion data during percutaneous stimulation obtained from motion capture, force plates, and EMG measurements, we simulate the movement arising from human somatic sensation including cutaneous sensation. The result implies that the cutaneous stimulation elicits muscle activities representing withdrawal reaction.
