Abstract
In this paper, we present a rotational paddling gait of a novel eccentric paddle mechanism for accessing aquatic environments. Sequence of the rotational paddling gait is introduced firstly. Then, we conduct experiments by varying two gait parameters, including the wheel speed and the eccentric distance, in an experimental water tank. Experiment results verify the proposed idea about the rotation paddling as well as the design of ePaddle prototype module.
