Abstract
For the present study, simultaneous ablation and injection were successfully operated by using electrically-induced micro-bubble knife. The novelty of the present techniques are (1) dispensing of micro-bubble can penetrate and make an ablation of a cell wall by the cavitation of micro-bubble in bubble reservoir and (2) the reagent was successfully introduced to the interface of the bubble surface. In this paper we demonstrate transportation of micro-bubble with methylene blue and simultaneous ablation of BY-2 cell wall and injection of fluorescent particles whose diameter were 2.1 μm. It means that electrically-induced micro-bubble knife has the possibility to gene transfer for the versatile use and can be contribute to gene engineering.
