Abstract
In recent year, senior driver related traffic accidents have been increased while the decreasing of the number of death for the accident. It also shows the complexity of composition ratio of drivers and pedestrians in the traffic environment. In order to realize the traffic safety under this environment, it is necessary not only advanced safety technology for a vehicle but also the traffic safety education to vulnerable road users. As one of education method, the use of driving simulator has been proposed in this paper, and its validity has been evaluated through the application of the proposed method to a special course for high school students in our university. Finally, questionnaire survey for students has also conducted to confirm its effectiveness and validity of educational contents.
