Abstract
We propose a novel thermo sensor that simulates human's temperature sensations in this paper. The sensor should evaluate not only the temperature of an object, but also thermodynamics characteristics such as specific heat, heat capacity, thermal conductivity, etc. of the object at the same time. We discuss the possibility of realization of such a sensor by making use of the pyroelectric property of the PVDF film. The PVDF film sensor was tested in experiments with flow of water of different temperature through tubes made of acrylic, stainless steel, and aluminum. From the voltage output of the PVDF film sensor, parameters that evaluate temperature, heat capacity, thermal conductivity etc. were discussed.
