Abstract

PVC gel actuators we had made at the beginning needed high voltage to drive. In previous studies we had mentioned that thinner PVC gel actuators were effective to decrease driving voltage. In this study we have made PVC gel actuators thinner furthermore using MEMS electrodes and mesh electrodes and found that the actuators were able to be driven at even lower voltage. Additionally characteristics of PVC gel actuators using MEMS electrodes and mesh electrodes were compared with each other.
