The aim of this study is to understand the mechanism of human running. In this paper, first, we demonstrate characteristics of human running. Secondly, we propose a simple mathematical model of human running. Finally we demonstrate validity of the model by comparing average velocity withe data of Bolt in the 100m sprint.
