Since medicine treatment is one of the most major and effective cure methods, many people are taking medicine every day. On the other hand, patients may face serious accidents if they do not follow correct medicine dosing method (i.e. taking medicine without enough quantity of water). In this paper, we propose intelligent medicine cup that supports correct dosing instructions. The cup detects if enough quantity of water is in it before a user takes medicine by using a water level sensor. It also detects if a user took medicine with the enough quantity of water in the cup by using acceleration sensors. We conducted experiments using the prototype of intelligent medicine cup and confirmed the efficient of the proposed system.
