Abstract

This paper proposes a novel position control system for mobile robots. The proposed system is composed of a mobile robot, a projector, a photoelectric sensor, and two controllers; one controller is embedded in the projector and the other is embedded in the robot. The main techniques are the projection of binary images onto the field through the projector, and to determination of the control input the information on projected images. We develop the experiment system, and the effectiveness of the proposed system is verified by position control experiments.
